About this playground
The Ansible playground gives you three machines: a control node with Ansible, and two targets, node-01 and node-02. The SSH keys are set up, /etc/ansible/hosts already lists the targets, and ansible all -m ping works from the first minute. Write playbooks, try modules and organise your work into roles. This environment is included in Academy Pro.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an Ansible practice lab online?
Yes. The Ansible playground opens a control node and two target machines in your browser, already connected. It is included in Academy Pro.
Do I have to set up SSH and the inventory myself?
No. The SSH keys are in place and /etc/ansible/hosts lists node-01 and node-02, so ansible all -m ping works straight away.
Are the machines real?
Yes. Three real machines with root access, so your playbooks really install and change things on the targets.
Are my playbooks saved?
No. Every machine is deleted when the session ends. Keep your playbooks and roles in Git to come back to them.
